Good news continues to roll in for Passionflix fans as Wicked heads into production

2020 has been rough, but Tosca Musk and the Passionflix team is doing their part to make sure that there’s a silver lining with yet another announcement of a new project starting up. This time it’s Wicked, the beloved first book in a series by author Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Wicked is set in the magical and mysterious city of New Orleans. It’s the story of Ivy Morgan, a member of the Order whose sworn duty is to protect the clueless humans around her. When she meets Ren Owen, though, all bets are off as he changes her outlook completely.

Casting for Wicked had been done prior to the pandemic, so it’s really a matter of switching gears and getting to work.

It’s worth noting that both Wicked and Kristen Proby’s newly optioned Easy Love are both set in New Orleans, so you know there will be some location scouting taking place during filming.

Wicked represents one of the first paranormal romance projects for Passionflix and opens up a whole new genre for the streaming service. Over the past several months Passionflix has been busy optioning books for new projects including work by Proby and Georgia Cates, and there are more projects yet to be announced.

The team has been working fast and furiously through the pandemic shut down while other studios came to a grinding halt. They managed to release the first two movies in the Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy, with the third installment coming in November, and the recently announced holiday Quickie has already wrapped filming as Tosca Musk prepares to work on the sequel to Driven.

Not only that, a post on their social media accounts notes that work will begin on multiple projects at the same time, so 2021 is shaping up to be another successful year for the romance streaming service.
