Passionflix holiday Quickies will be keeping the Yule Log merry and bright this year.

Twenty-twenty has been exhausting, but thanks to the efforts of Tosca Musk and the Passionflix team, fans have been able to enjoy some amazing content on the romance streaming service, including The Will and the Gabriel’s Inferno trilogy. Now, Musk and her team are slowly getting back to work and they’re starting with holiday Quickies as a way to test the water while giving fans presents to unwrap during the holiday season.

Holiday movies have been gaining in popularity in recent years thanks to Hallmark and Lifetime, and Passionflix is in the mix with Mr. 365 and The Trouble with Mistletoe, and two holiday Quickies: Wrapped Up In You and The Naughty List.

According to a post on social media, Passionflix is back at work and they’re working on a few holiday Quickies to kick things off.

Quickies are the Passionflix version of short films, usually less than 20 minutes in length, that offer love stories for people who need something short and sweet. Quickies are indeed quick in length but the double entendre says it all. They might not last long, but they pack a powerful punch — and during the busy holiday season we’ll take what we can get.

It makes sense for Passionflix to start work on holiday Quickies for a number of reasons. This is the first time the team has been back to work under the new COVID-19 guidelines, and it only takes a few days to film Quickies, as opposed to several weeks working on a full-length film. They can work out the details so that production can resume on projects like Gabriel’s Rapture and their new acquisitions, and holiday Quickies will arrive in time to fill the gaps until new movies are ready.

In a year where would-be blockbuster summer tentpoles were either shelved or faced an uncertain box office, Passionflix has been moving full steam ahead throughout the pandemic. The Will came out in February and Gabriel’s Inferno was released in three segments: May and July, with Part 3 coming up on November 19.

While many Hollywood studios have been scrambling to adapt, Passionflix has been acquiring new properties so that work can begin on scripts. By the time they have the all-clear to start work in earnest, they will be ready to hit the ground running. It’s an enviable position to be in, and it’s a testament to the incredible work they’re doing to bring beloved romance novels to life on screen.

As the weather starts to cool down, it’s nice knowing that Passionflix is working to heat things up during the holiday season and winter months.
