Passionflix options two beloved Kristen Proby books: Easy Love and Come Away with Me

Kristen Proby’s books are known for being sexy, smart, and set in enchanting locations, and now two of her stories have been optioned by romance streamer Passionflix to become movies. Passionflix announced that Easy Love and Come Away with Me are both in development, which is welcome news for Proby’s fans and Passionistas alike.

Easy Love is the first book in Proby’s Boudreaux Series. Set in New Orleans, it follows Bayou Enterprises CEO Eli Boudreaux, who hires consultant Kate O’Shaughnessy to help track down someone who is stealing money from the business. What Eli didn’t count on was his feelings for Kate, and Kate doesn’t know what to think because Eli’s reputation as a playboy precedes him.

Come Away with Me is set in Seattle and features the story of Natalie Conner, whose passion for photography leads her to take a picture of someone who doesn’t want to be captured in a photo. Luke Williams is running away from his life and when he realizes that Natalie has no idea who he is, he’s intrigued.

Both stories will make fantastic additions to the Passionflix family of original adaptations of popular romance novels.

Work never stopped for the Passionflix team during the pandemic. From seeking out and acquiring new books to finishing production and releasing the Sylvain Reynard’s Gabriel’s Inferno movies, the team has been busy and now that work is slowly starting up again they are optioning more books while looking ahead to their next projects.

With all of the new safety protocols in place to protect the cast and crew from COVID-19, Passionflix is starting with holiday Quickies. Quickies are short and sweet featurettes, usually less than 20 minutes, and they only require a few days to film. That makes them the ideal way to get accustomed to the new rules while also creating new content for fans.

CEO Tosca Musk teased on social media that she isn’t working on the holiday Quickies because she’s starting work on the highly anticipated sequel to Driven. K. Bromberg’s fans have been eagerly awaiting season 2 based on her second book in the series, Fueled.

There’s no timeline on when Easy Love and Come Away with Me will start filming, but while scripts are being developed the casting team will work to find the best actors for the roles. This is where Passionflix fans come into play, as often times it is fan suggestions that help shape the cast. (And who better to help cast a movie than fans who often imagine dream casts while reading the books)
