In anticipation of Disney’s live-action Mulan, Christina Aguilera released a music video for her new rendition of “Reflection” — and it is gorgeous.

Disney’s live-action Mulan arrives on Disney+ in just a week, and Christina Aguilera is building the hype for this film with her latest music video. Showing off her new rendition of the song “Reflection,” which she also sang for the soundtrack of the 1998 animated movie, Aguilera brought one of the best tracks to new heights — particularly at the end, when she goes for that final high note.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. First thing’s first: Props to whoever dressed Aguilera for this video because her dress is straight out of a Disney princess’ closet.

Naturally, clips from the new movie are also interspersed throughout the video — and even if there’s no footage that’s strikingly new, it does cover some of the action we can’t wait to see play out on the small screen. (Our only regret is we won’t be able to see it on the big screen, too.) The way it’s pieced together certainly ramps up excitement for the soundtrack and the movie all at once, and that’s likely thanks to the film’s director Niki Caro, who also directed the video.

More from Disney

Aquilera also recently released the video for “Loyal, Brave, True,” another one of the songs she sang for the upcoming film. While it doesn’t quite strike the same nostalgia as “Reflection,” it’s another gorgeous piece. (Seriously, someone get us this soundtrack already.)

Mulan arrives on Disney+ on September 4, so we’ve got plenty of time to listen to these tracks on repeat before it hits the platform. It will cost subscribers $29.99 extra due to its Premier Access release status — but the more we see of this adaptation, the more we think it’s probably worth splurging on.
