FXX’s Archer panel was zany, irreverent, and just oh so much fun as the cast discussed their fondness for alcohol, the joys of not showering during quarantine, and dropped some season 11 details.

Oh, Archer, how we’ve missed you.

But from the looks of the FXX season 11 trailer, released at the end of the Archer Comic-Con@Home panel, it looks as if no one else has.

Sterling Archer woke up at the end of Archer’s 10th season from a coma, but series regulars Lana Kane (the lovely and very funny Aisha Tyler), Cheryl Tunt (Judy Greer), Malory Archer (Jessica Walter), Pam Poovey (Amber Nash), Cyril Figgis (the always-dependable Chris Parnell), and Dr. Krieger (Lucky Yates) have all moved on.

Watch the new season 11 trailer for Archer here:

Work drinking is out. (How ever will Archer cope? Or more importantly, Mallory? Yep, that policy won’t last long.) And no one seems to want to go back to the old ways. But this is Archer, and we know the anti-hero’s corrupting influence will bring the gang back to their off-kilter ways in no time.

The release date was also unveiled during the hilarious panel, that featured Aisha Tyler (who we just saw moderating The Boys panel — she is very busy!), Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell (and briefly, his son, ah Zoom), Lucky Yates, and moderated by executive producer Casey Willis. Season 11, originally slated for May 6 of this year, will now grace our screens in the fall, landing a premiere date of Wednesday, September 16.

Still, it’s pretty nice to have the show premiere at all, considering we’ve all been in lockdown. Even better? We’ll get two back-to-back episodes, beginning at 10 p.m. ET. Both episodes will be available on Hulu the following day.

As if that isn’t exciting enough, the panel also dropped the news that Jamie Lee Curtis and Simon Pegg (yes!) will guest star this season. All credit to Judy Greer who approached Curtis while working with her on Halloween Ends. It turns out the Halloween star is a fan of the FXX show, a tidbit that shocked the rest of the cast on the panel.

"“When we first showed up to do rehearsals, I introduced myself to her and she went right in for Archer… I think that might have been why I got the movie. She and her son really bond over Archer,” explained Greer, to the surprised delight of the rest of the cast. “’Jamie, I one hundred percent could get you on the show,’ and she’s like, ‘Oh, really? Do you think?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah!’”"

Nash was hilarious throughout the entire panel, and wasted no time, deadpanning: “I’m always really surprised when reputable people like our show.”

Although it was disappointing that series stars H. Jon Benjamin and Jessica Walter were not present, the goofy banter was so much fun to witness, and you should really enjoy watching it for yourselves — especially the hints at partners that they need to take a shower after quarantining for so long and all the talk about the joys of alcohol and progressively earlier “happy hours.” All in all, listening to them joke just made me realize how much I miss this crazy show.

Archer will premiere on FXX Sept. 16. Get ready! Judging from the trailer, it has more of James Bond action feel than perhaps previous seasons. That’s always fun.
