We don’t know much about Batwoman Season 2 yet, but thanks to HomeCon 2.0 we know exactly who the show’s Big Bad would like to see join the canvas.

In light of San Diego Comic Con’s official cancellation, it doesn’t look like we’ll get another big convention before the year is out. At least, not in the traditional sense.

The good news is, virtual conventions are proving to be not only possible, but popular. This past weekend saw the return of HomeCon to Twitch, raising money once again for First Responders First.

HomeCon 2.0 brought a whole new set of celebrities together, this time including Guardians of the Galaxy star Michael Rooker.

Known for his roles of Yondu in the MCU and Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead, Rooker’s spotlight panel was streamed live by a few thousand fans – including HomeCon co-founder and Batwoman star Rachel Skarsten.

Skarsten couldn’t contain her excitement, jumping in the panel’s live chat with an all caps “FANGIRLING SO HARD RN.”

(Relatable, right?)

In her excitement, Skarsten also put out a request: “ROOKER ON BATWOMAN PLEASE.”

Though Rooker himself couldn’t see the comments, he was made aware of Skarsten’s hopes. He didn’t indicate one way or the other if he’d be interested in joining the CW series, but it’s certainly idea that merits some thought.

After all, Rooker is no stranger to the superhero world. Not only is he Marvel’s Mary Poppins Yondu Udonta, but next year he’ll be making the jump to the DCEU with James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

At this point, Rooker’s role in that particular film is still unknown – he refused to give up a single spoiler on his character or the story during his panel – but the Suicide Squad is generally a band of bad guys. Odds are, whoever Rooker is playing might just get along with Batwoman‘s Alice.

And, thanks to this year’s Arrowverse crossover “Crisis On Infinite Earths”, we know that bringing DCEU characters to the small screen is not impossible.

Of course, The CW’s Batwoman has introduced us to plenty of new characters. One could be written for Rooker specifically.

Right now, nothing is set in stone for Batwoman’s second season. Showrunner Caroline Dries knows “loosely what’s going to happen” but thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the writers’ room hasn’t been able to officially get back to work just yet.

Stranger things have been manifested in online comment sections. Rooker coming to Gotham, if even for only an episode, could be a whole lot of fun.
