Disney+ released a trailer for the Skywalker Saga in its entirety, and it’s enough to get any Star Wars fan in their feelings.
Star Wars Day is almost upon us, and The Rise of Skywalker is arriving on Disney+ two months early, just in time for the occasion. In preparation for its debut on the platform, Disney+ released a new trailer for the Skywalker Saga in its entirety — and honestly, it’s enough to get any Star Wars fan in their feelings.
Featuring footage from all three trilogies in the saga, the trailer opens with Luke’s sentiment that he wants to “learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi like father.” It’s a fitting opening, considering that Luke’s journey is where this story begins, and having Luke and Darth Vader — arguably the saga’s two most iconic characters — appear at the beginning just feels right.

Of course, it doesn’t take long for the trailer to move beyond A New Hope, segueing into footage from the prequel trilogy and the newest set of films. There’s talk of bringing balance to the Force and finding one’s place, and it’s all very remniscent of the themes covered throughout the entire saga. All of our favorite characters make appearances, from Yoda and Han Solo to Kylo Ren and BB-8 — and the trailer really captures all of the places and people that have made this franchise so compelling.
By the time Han Solo rounds out the trailer with, “The Force, the Jedi … it’s all true,” you’re likely to be tearing up at least a little. And if this trailer was hoping to get fans to rewatch the nine films in the Skywalker Saga, we’d have to say it worked. Who wants to guess how we’re celebrating this Star Wars Day?
The entire Skywalker Saga will be available on Disney+ starting May 4. Which installment are you most excited to watch?
