Brazil’s Comic-Con Experience had plenty of reveals in store for fans, and Marvel unveiling the first footage of Eternals was certainly one of the biggest.

The Comic-Con Experience in Brazil has had plenty of big surprises in store for attendees, including the release of the Wonder Woman: 1984 trailer. But DC wasn’t the only major franchise dropping new footage this weekend; Marvel also had some reveals in store for its fans. Most notably, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, unveiled the first footage from its upcoming film Eternals.

According to The Wrap, the new footage opens with Richard Madden’s Ikaris, shifting immediately after to a group shot of the movie’s lead characters. Sersi, who is played by Gemma Chan, also got her own close up, as did Thena (Angelina Jolie), Ajax (Salma Hayek), and Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani). A look at the team in their costumes was also shown, along with the film’s official logo.

It doesn’t appear there was much to see in the way of plot moments or conversations, but there was reportedly one line of dialogue to be heard at the end of the footage. Hayek’s Ajax delivered the line, “These people have changed all of us. We must protect them,” before the clips came to an end — leaving the viewers to determine what people she’s referring to.

While it wasn’t much in terms of new information about the movie, this does allow fans to get excited for the upcoming film, which won’t arrive in theaters until next November. And the reactions of those who got to attend the panel suggest there’s plenty to look forward to from this installment — something that will come as a relief to Marvel fans, especially given that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s fourth phase is so up in the air.

Collider’s Steven Weintraub suggested that Eternals looks unlike anything we’ve seen in the MCU before, and that will come as good news for many. After three phases of similar storylines from the Avengers team, it’s about time the MCU offered something new and different — and that could lead us into a successful future for the franchise.
