The 100 season 6 episode 8: 4 important details from the teaser

On this week’s episode of The 100, Josephine will attempt to get Clarke out of her head once and for all, while Octavia and Diyoza continue the hunt for Gabriel.

The most recent episode of The 100 showcased a battle of the minds between Clarke and Josephine, but it looks like fans will be returning to the rest of the characters’ storylines this week during “The Old Man and the Anomaly.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean the Clarke and Josephine plot isn’t still front and center. Judging by the teaser, Josephine will try to kick Clarke out of her brain and body once and for all — but with Clarke and Bellamy working against her, there’s plenty that can go wrong.

The teaser and episode title also suggest that we’ll see more of Diyoza and Octavia this week. And after a glimpse into Josephine’s memories, it seems certain that finding Gabriel will give the newcomers the answers they need to survive Sanctum — and the Primes.

Clarke is having brain surgery

The teaser opens with Clarke in the Primes’ lab with some sort of equipment attached to her head. It’s probably safe to assume that this is actually Josephine; after all, now that she’s learned how to get Clarke out of their shared mind permanently, she’ll probably want to act as quickly as possible. And why else would Murphy be assisting her?

Murphy confirms that they’re attempting brain surgery in his voiceover, asking, “What could go wrong?” And given that Clarke and Bellamy are determined to get rid of Josephine now, probably quite a lot can go wrong.

The Dark Commander is back

“Nevermind” hinted at Madi going full-on Anakin Skywalker this season, especially after her meeting with the Dark Commander. He already convinced her to banish Gaia, and the two are planning to avenge Clarke against the others’ will. It’s easy to understand why Madi would be tempted by what the guy is offering, but what’s he doing in the teaser?

The promo shows him standing behind Miller, and it’s possible that Miller could be his next target. Miller and Bellamy have yet to inform Madi that Clarke’s still alive, so she might interpret them helping Josephine as betrayal. Let’s hope she doesn’t banish him, too — or worse.

Somebody is bleeding

After the Dark Commander, fans get a brief shot of someone holding their very bloody leg. The teaser doesn’t show who this is — or where the injury came from — but it certainly looks like it could be fatal. Hopefully it isn’t anyone too important…

The hunt for Gabriel continues

The episode title itself alludes to Gabriel (the old man) and Octavia (who has apparently been summoned by the anomaly). And the end of the teaser confirms that we’ll focus on this storyline during the episode, showing two people on motor cycles racing toward what appears to be a radiation barrier.

The teaser also ends with someone standing in front of the anomaly. Could this be Gabriel? After everything we’ve heard about him, it’d certainly be nice to finally meet the guy.
