Forever 21 teams up with Baby Phat to bring back the iconic streetwear
Baby Phat is coming back, and we have Forever 21 to thank for this early 2000s fashion revival. Fans have a whole new collection to look forward to as well, with a modern aesthetic.
On June 13, Forever 21 is throwing it back to the early 2000s with the help of the iconic Baby Phat line. If you are looking to add some summer flair to your closet, then look no further because this collection is all about being confident, unapologetic, and of course stylish.
The Baby Phat and Forever 21 collaboration is a chance for Kimora Lee Simmons-Leissner, the founder of the Baby Phat line, to bring her designs to an entirely new generation of girls. This is about bringing iconic fashion to women with affordable price tags.
And considering this collection ranges in price anywhere between $15 and $25, this release is truly style on a budget. But it is not the price tag that is going to have you rushing to stores to grab these pieces, it is the nostalgia.

With the help of Forever 21, Baby Phat fans are getting the chance to remember those days of the iconic cat logo, bedazzled everything, Total Request Live on MTV, and even hot pink everywhere. However, this is still 2019, which means this new collection is going to take what we know and love and give it a modern feel.
This release will feature biker shorts, crop tops, sweatshirts and tank tops, all with the 2000s vibe, but more modern sensibilities and silhouettes. Think about this as nostalgic streetwear, with a 2019 feel.
Sure, there will still be hot pink and animal prints, but these are all done with an eye towards being on trend with today’s style. And since it is summertime, you know you will want to rock those cats and show off your love of the Baby Phat brand with the help of Forever 21.
I’m totally here for another chance to show off my love of the sassy cat and Simmons’ desire to have women who are unapologetically themselves. And the fact that the collection will include sizes up to a 4X means that this truly is all about women, and that’s something we can all appreciate.
Check out the new Baby Phat and Forever 21 collection and tell us what you think. Are you excited for the trip down memory lane? What do you think of these new pieces?
