Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger preview: The Johnsons are on the move

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has Tandy missing in action. It’s up to Tyrone to try to find and save her and perhaps put an end to the trafficking ring.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has separated our two heroes over the last couple of episodes. However, it hasn’t felt as jarring as it did in the first season, as their relationship is solid this season and not as tenuous.

Still, it’s a bummer not to see Tandy and Tyrone teaming up the last few episodes. When they can play off of each other, it makes for a more interesting dynamic.

The problem is now that Tandy’s missing.

Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, “Vikingtown Sound,” courtesy of Freeform:

"Adina is pushed to a dangerous edge as she looks to get answers and closure for her two boys. Meanwhile, Tyrone comes in contact with a mysterious figure on his search for Tandy."

Okay, so we left last episode with Tyrone showing up on his parents’ front porch to present Connors to his mother. That’s probably the worst idea he’s had yet. Well, not really. He’s been out in broad daylight a lot for someone who’s wanted by the NOPD.

Still, facing down the killer of her firstborn won’t be easy for Adina. I doubt she’ll be as level-headed as Tyrone’s father. Tyrone will definitely keep her in check, but the moment he doesn’t hear from Tandy, you know he’s going to leave.

We’ll just have to see if Connors survives.

Who might that “mysterious figure” be that the synopsis mentions? I’m guessing it’s Andre, as Tyrone hasn’t encountered him yet. But maybe it’s in a more mysterious form. Maybe they share a similar Darkforce dimension area with their powers.

Maybe Tyrone has to pull Tandy out of that dimension to return her hope before he can actually rescue her in the real world?

The possibilities are honestly endless, especially with Cloak and Dagger finally starting to dip a little farther into the comic book-side of things. How far will they go? Will they ground us back into a little more realistic setting? Or will they keep us guessing?
