Ranked: Magical creatures in Universal Orlando’s new Hagrid ride

As excitement builds for Universal’s Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, where does your favorite creature rank?

The newest Harry Potter experience at Universal Orlando, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, is filled with numerous immersive experiences. From real trees making a magical forest to feeling as if you are on the actual motorbike, this new ride will quickly become a must for Harry Potter fans.

All week long, Universal Orlando has been revealing the magical creatures that guests will encounter on the newest Harry Potter experience. Some of the creatures are integral characters from the beloved stories. Other characters have been adapted from those stories.

As excitement builds toward the June 13 ride opening, here is our ranking of all Hagrid’s Magical Creatures.

5. Devil’s Snare

Who doesn’t remember the precarious plant who entangles Harry, Ron and Hermione? Given its dangerous grip, riders might have to race away from these powerful vines. Could a bright flame light the way out?

4. Centaurs

Seen both in Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the Centaurs live in the forest. The 8-foot tall Centaur looks to guard the entrance to the forbidden forest. Will riders avoid the arrow shot from this dangerous archer?

3. Cornish Pixies

Could mischief happen on this Harry Potter ride? With Cornish Pixies flying around, no one is safe. Just ask Neville Longbottom. These little blue creatures might be up to some tricks for those riders who dare to enter the Forbidden Forest.

2. Fluffy

With such an unlikely name, Fluffy may not be a muggle’s best friend. Who doesn’t remember the three-headed dog who protected the Sorcerer’s Stone? During this ride, a 8,000 pound Fluffy is back at his job as guard dog. Wonder what he’s guarding now?

1. Blast-Ended Skrewt

Are you unfamiliar with this character? It was specifically created by Universal Orlando for this specific Harry Potter experience. Described as “cross between a giant scorpion and an elongated crab,” this creature might blast riders with fire from its “blasting-end.”

According to the story, Hagrid created this creature. From its “odor” to its size, this magical creature will definitely be a sight to see during this Harry Potter experience. Just be warned of its blast.
