Star Wars Episode IX: Fans think Oscar Isaac might be in Jordan

Despite production of Star Wars Episode IX still being fairly secretive, fans think they may have placed another actor in a rumored filming location.

When you’re looking for clues to the production of a huge, globally-loved property, check social media first. Then, if you’re like us, you’ll check Reddit. In this case, it’s Star Wars fans over at r/StarWarsLeaks who may have just found another piece of the Episode IX puzzle, and it all has to do with Oscar Isaac’s wife.

Earlier this week, fans spotted what appears to be sites in Jordan on John Boyega’s Instagram, seemingly confirming rumors and photos that allegedly put Episode IX filming in the country. At this point, it seems important to reiterate that we’re working on a lot of speculation and conjecture, since this isn’t like Game of Thrones, where there’s an established pattern and fans can usually spot a set with relative ease.

That all being said, the evidence seems to be piling up, and the comments over on Reddit are treating this pretty much as a done deal. Now, let’s get back to Oscar Isaac and his wife. First off, yes, he’s married (and has a son).

Second, his wife has an Instagram account. Third, she just posted a photo that’s clearly tagged as being in Jordan.

(Also, here’s just a photo of her and her husband, because we all deserve that sweetness.) Because Isaac doesn’t have an Instagram account (or at least one that’s publicly claimed as his), there’s a bit more digging necessary to find out where he is.

Back when we discussed Boyega’s possible presence in Jordan, we also noted that it’s believed that Daisy Ridley’s been around Jordan as well, a theory fans are also running with in the comments from r/StarWarsLeaks on this image. If so, after two movies of mostly being in pairings or solo (and Poe Dameron not meeting Rey until the end of The Last Jedi), the three main characters of this Star Wars trilogy might actually get to share scenes and do things together.

What a wonderful concept, and this writer means that completely unironically.
