Meghan Markle royal pregnancy tour style stuns, includes Princess Diana tribute

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are on a whirlwind tour that will last 16 days, and the Duchess is already stunning fashionistas with her style.

Sorry, Prince Harry, but Meghan Markle is stealing all the royal spotlight as of late.

Okay, we’re not really sorry, because as Markle and Harry travel around Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga for more than two weeks during their first royal tour together, the Duchess of Sussex is delighting us with her royal pregnancy style. (She and Prince Harry recently announced that they are expecting a baby in the spring.)

Meghan Markle honors Prince Harry’s mother, Princess Diana

As Markle and her prince head out to fulfill more than 70 appointments, she’s turning heads with her fashion choices. One of the sweetest: a tribute to her husband’s late mother, Princess Diana.

At the start of the royal tour, Markle paid tribute to Diana with a bracelet and butterfly earrings that originally belonged to the princess. Markle complemented her touching choice of jewelry with a frock from an Australian designer, Karen Gee.

How influential is the Duchess? That dress, which was her first outfit for her tour, crashed the designer’s website soon after Markle was seen it.

Meet Markle’s fashion adviser

With the fashion spotlight shining so brightly on Markle, we were happy to learn that she has a very special style adviser. The Duchess’ close friend Jessica Mulroney is also Markle’s fashion adviser. Jessica met up with Markle in Australia.

Mulroney and her husband Ben have three children. They reside in Toronto, but Jessica has played a key role in Meghan’s fashion. She even assisted Markle in planning her wedding and her overall royal style. We predict that Mulroney will support Markle throughout her pregnancy and perhaps even style future royal children.

The Duchess goes for practicality in her pregnancy style

Th Duchess of Sussex is already showing that she knows how to take care of herself during her pregnancy when it comes to fashion choices. Although the Duchess was seen wearing heels at one point, she switched to a comfortable pair of Rothy’s flats for riding a ferry with Harry to the Sydney Opera House.

Figuring out how to weave comfort with her trademark royal style will be the name of the fashion game during Markle’s tour. Their busy schedule, for example, included a visit to the Taronga Zoo as well as the Sydney Opera House.

On that same day, the Duchess attended a welcome reception given by  Australia’s governor general and also hosted by Lady Cosgrove. For the reception in Sydney on October 16, Markle chose a sleek and sophisticated $1,895 olive green shirt dress by designer Brandon Maxwell.
