Gal Gadot already had us convinced that she is Wonder Woman, and her visit to a children’s hospital just proved that she’s also a superhero in real life!

Gal Gadot first caught our attention in Fast & Furious, and she kept us captivated when this former Miss Israel (who also served as a combat instructor for two years in the Israel Defense Forces) took on the challenge of playing Wonder Woman. Now, Gadot has taken her fictional role of superhero into real life with a heartwarming visit to a children’s hospital.

Over the weekend, Gal suited up as Wonder Woman to delight some of her youngest fans: Patients at the Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. Gadot’s visit also charmed staff members, including cardiac surgeon Dr. Lucas Colazzo.

“Thank you @GalGadot⁩ for visiting us @InovaHealth⁩ Children’s Hospital. You are a true Wonder Woman. The kids loved it…and so did the staff,” posted Dr. Colazzo on Twitter.

Twitter provided the opportunity for some patients’ parents to share their appreciation of both the surgeon and Gadot.

Many of Gadot’s fans praised the actress for her spirit of giving back to the community.

The 33-year old superhero star is currently shooting the sequel to Wonder Woman. Filming is taking place in the Virginia and Washington, D.C., region.

Titled Wonder Woman 1984, the movie is being directed by Patty Jenkins. And here’s an intriguing note: Even though Chris Pine’s character died in the first movie, Pine is set to return for the sequel. Also co-starring in the sequel is Kristin Wiig, who introduces a new character, the villain Cheetah.

On Instagram, Gal’s visit to the children’s hospital received appreciation as well. Gadot earned gratitude for “bringing her superpowers” to the kids and, in true Wonder Woman style, making the day “just WONDERFUL!”
