Brie Larson’s got some time on her hands now that Captain Marvel has wrapped. Can we finally get a trailer for the movie?
These days, it seems like Marvel is always moving on to its next project, juggling the production of new movies, promoting soon-to-come movies, and enjoying movies that are already out. For Captain Marvel on that timeline, filming is finally over — and we can start to expect some really great things pretty soon.
Word of the news got around on Sunday when Captain Marvel lead Brie Larson shared a photo to Twitter showing the filming’s all done. Larson didn’t caption the photo, but the Captain Marvel-decked-out calendar and signed film slate in the photo gave everyone a pretty good idea that filming was done.
If you look closely on the calendar, it looks like July 6 marked the end of filming for the crew, after what seems to be a total of 75 days of filming. And kind of like a school kid who’s out for the summer, Larson etched in her calendar “FREEDOM” for the week following.
Other Captain Marvel stars also shared their social media celebrations with the end of the movie’s filming. Samuel L. Jackson shared a neat cast and crew hoodie on Instagram, which features a S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain Marvel flag, as well as what could be Carol Danver’s cat, Chewie, in the center. Lashana Lynch, who currently has an unknown role in the film, also shared her enthusiasm for the wrap with a sweet photo on Twitter.
With all this excitement over Captain Marvel‘s filming being done, fans are now eager to get a trailer. Some have been hopeful that a trailer would debut at San Diego Com-Con next week, but that would seem pretty unlikely because filming just wrapped, and Marvel won’t be presenting at Hall H this year, anyway.
For anyone interested in seeing a trailer, you might have to wait a bit longer. The movie does come out in 2019 after all. The best thing we might get sometime soon is an official poster, which Marvel has yet to put out.

We’ll be patiently waiting for that poster and trailer. In the meantime, we can still have some Marvel fun by enjoying Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is out now. Then, the wait for Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019 shouldn’t feel so long.
