Meghan Markle gushes about Prince Harry, receives earrings from Queen for first girls trip

Meghan Markle keeps her royal momentum going by stepping out with the Queen for their first excursion, during which she gushed about Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle captured the world’s attention in the weeks leading up to her wedding. And although the spotlight shone brightest when the American actress tied the knot with Prince Harry to become the Duchess of Sussex, Markle continues to garner attention.

On Wednesday evening, Meghan joined Queen Elizabeth II to participate in her first official royal events without Prince Harry. Markle’s and the Queen’s expedition began with a trip north on the royal train. The newest member of the royal family and one of the most revered headed to Cheshire in what we predict was the first of many girls’ trips.

Twitter celebrated the charming duo by posting photos of Meghan and the Queen that showed just how much fun they’re having together. Adorable!

Meghan and Queen Elizabeth continued their trip on Thursday, formally opening a new toll bridge over the River Mersey. When the 36-year-old former Suits star and 92-year-old monarch arrived, David Briggs, the Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, and excited schoolkids greeted the duo.

The Queen marked the bridge’s opening with a plaque, and her visit there with Meghan included introductions to community leaders such as planners and architects. Local schoolkids performed as well.

Markle’s and her grandmother-in-law’s schedule also included a visit to Storyhouse, a new library, theater and cinema.

The new best friends will enjoy a dance company’s performance, with the company composed of individuals who are recovering from addiction. The pair also will be lunching at Chester Town Hall. All of these activities are viewed as opportunities for Meghan to learn from the Queen how to conduct herself in true royal fashion.

Fans were delighted when Meghan stopped to talk with them, and she responded to one who asked her about married life.
