Among some of the most adorable lines from the cast of Avengers: Infinity War ever came some interesting new snippets of scenes.
Marvel, at this point, has to know that it has fans pretty well set for Avengers: Infinity War. Reports surfaced earlier today that the movie is pre-selling tickets like it’s going out of style, after all. But that doesn’t mean the company won’t stop the hype train from rolling.
Today’s gift is a new featurette titled “Family.”
While it seems that you might be enticed by the cast of Infinity War saying extremely nice things about each other, pay close attention to the footage you’ll see (and some of what everyone is saying):
Did our eyes detect Star-Lord dropping into a Doctor Strange-produced portal? The cut to the good doctor right after that clip certainly makes us think we’re supposed to conclude that some of the weirdest heroes (for two very different reasons, mind you) might just get to be weird together in Infinity War.
While that prospect is intriguing, so too is the combination of Okoye and Scarlet Witch. This is not just because Danai Gurira and Elizabeth Olsen are on a first name and/or nickname basis with each other. While footage mostly focuses on Wanda participating in the battle for Wakanda, her long-range skills combined with Okoye’s close-combat specialty could make for a powerful combination. There are also brief glimpses at some of the other ladies of the MCU — though, sadly, no Valkyrie.
At the very beginning of the featurette comes a chance for Drax to roast Star-Lord, which we very much enjoy anyway. It does look like an unconscious Thor will be around the Guardians at some point. The dialogue suggests they don’t know who he is at that point. The King of Asgard will have some explaining to do.
Is it possible that Doctor Strange could even work with Thor and Star-Lord simultaneously? After all, Stephen Strange links the three.
Next: Tony Stark absolutely looks like he's had enough in new Infinity War pic
What are your best Infinity War theories after this featurette? With opening day just a few weeks away, it’s time to put the final touches on them.
