Game of Thrones wants to take your bookshelf (and your puzzle time) over

No, you don’t have to paint a map on the floor, but the Game of Thrones map room now has a related puzzle, and Dragonstone can come to your bookshelf.

How many more months is it to Game of Thrones season 8? Unfortunately, we don’t actually know. But what we do know is that it might be good to have something Thrones-related (that isn’t reading spoilers) to help you both not stare at a screen and keep yourself steeped in the show while you wait.

Enter Dark Horse, which debuted a bevy of new items at the Toy Fair this year for Game of Thrones, including a puzzle based on the map room in the Red Keep as well as some very fancy bookends (for displaying your copies of A Song of Ice and Fire … or the fanciest books you have, since they are very fancy bookends).

In the press release, a set of map markers based on the ones Daenerys uses was announced as well.

First up, here’s the Cersei’s Map of Westeros Puzzle:

This isn’t the first puzzle to be based on the map, but it does have the new compass rose to the upper right, with the Lannister sigil at the center of it. Additionally, it’s the most up-to-date map in the sense of what’s standing, what matters, and what the characters of Game of Thrones consider important.

Then again, we do spot Highgarden, which has been sacked since the room was finished on the show (although it remains standing). No word yet on exactly how many pieces there will be, but it looks to be a pretty reasonable size.

Meanwhile, check these bookends out:

Okay, we’ll say it. Those are kind of magnificent, and not just because they create a full tower when pushed together. (They’d even make a really good display piece without any books between them!) It’s in the high amount of detail with the bricks as well as all the scales on the dragons’ heads. No word yet on how much they’ll retail for.

This is probably the most subtle of the three pieces, and that’s saying something. But from a distance, it looks like an interesting coffee-table piece, the kind you don’t like dusting but do anyway for that one person who will definitely comment if you don’t do it. Alas, this incarnation of the throne doesn’t come with an adorable form of Daenerys sitting on it as the Funko Pop! version does.

None of these products have made the HBO store just yet, but hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.

Next: Season 8 spoilers: Come on in (we think)

Which of these products has you searching for coin to buy, or are you saving your money for something else Thrones-related to fill the void?
