Solo: A Star Wars Story: Check out the Good Morning America trailer

Last night’s too-brief look at Solo: A Star Wars Story has now been followed up by a full-blown trailer for a movie that’s out in just over three months.

It was pretty telling that last night’s Solo: A Star Wars Story didn’t have much in the way of dialogue or actual plot other than Alden Ehrenreich’s take on the famous smuggler wanting to make his way as an Imperial pilot. Instead, the Super Bowl teaser was all about flashes of imagery — quick looks at Han encountering the Falcon, Emilia Clarke’s Qi’Ra, a way-too-short look at Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian that quickly got GIFed beyond belief on Twitter

(We can’t blame them. That’s how you make an entrance. Han, take notes.)

But how do you follow up a teaser like that? With a full-fledged trailer on Good Morning America, of course! The show confirmed last night during the game that the trailer would be arriving.

And that makes more sense — Good Morning America is on ABC, which is part of Disney, and Lucasfilm is part of Disney, too. This is how a lot of trailers for Star Wars end up dropping these days; Rogue One did the same thing.

But a longer look is needed, of course. We’re about three months away from the release of the film, and it’s now just getting some footage.

At least the footage looks good, so maybe it’ll assuage your worries about it so far?

Some quick impressions:

That’s our first look at Thandie Newton’s character, who looks to be part of the “crew” that Han and Chewbacca join. Additionally, it’s hard not to notice that Alden Ehrenreich still doesn’t sound much like Harrison Ford — which doesn’t mean that he’s going to be completely terrible in the role, but it is still slightly worrisome.
