Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 3 episode 6 review: Josh Is Irrelevant

This week on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rebecca gets quite the diagnosis and Nathaniel is trying to cope with everything too. So what is going to happen?

Rebecca Bunch is still working through everything on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Last week, she tried to kill herself and the flight attendant on the plane had to help her. So where does that leave us this week? Well, obviously, Rebecca is trying to work through everything.

We learn that while she did attempt to kill herself, she never wanted to die. She just wanted the pain to stop and so, throughout the episode, Rebecca gets a new diagnosis and we learn just who cares about Rebecca the most.

Everyone cares about Rebecca … even Josh

Everyone is at the hospital waiting on news from Rebecca. While Valenica is a little selfish and Hector is only there because of Heather, they’re all still there to support her. Even Josh shows up and everyone ushers him out and tells him to leave.

Which just shows that a) Rebecca does have amazing friends and b) no one wants Josh Chan around.

A new diagnosis

Honestly? This is the best song of this season so far (taking out “Let’s Generalize About Men”). Rebecca is just open to whatever diagnosis she gets. Well, that is until she actually gets her diagnosis. She does what her doctor tells her not to do and Googles it, sending her into a tailspin.

But then she eventually goes back to treatment and starts to work through everything, which truly makes us proud of her. She’s trying to sort everything out and it is going to be good for Rebecca.

Nathaniel is having a problem

Nathaniel spends most of the episode try to send something to Rebecca to express his worry for her. He somehow remembers something about his childhood and goes home to question his mother who we learn had a problem with sleeping pills.

While home, his mother gives him flowers to give to Rebecca and he does and the two share a lovely little moment at the end of the episode.

Valencia is having a Dear Evan Hansen moment

Don’t call her Evan Hansen or … maybe do. Valencia’s main goal this week is to share Rebecca’s story on social media. But instead, she makes it all about herself. Heather keeps trying to top it but she just keeps saying it is a “movement.”

Eventually Valencia admits why she was doing it and cries to Rebecca about her fears of losing her. But still, it is very much that boy who fell out of a tree and then made someone’s death about him.

Wow everything is not about you, Josh

Josh Chan instantly asked if Rebecca was talking about him. Not really how she was or anything. Just about him. Which further proves that maybe Josh Chan is the worst.
