Gal Gadot won’t move forward with Wonder Woman sequel until Brett Ratner is removed
By Buckie Wells
Just like Wonder Woman would, sources say Gal Gadot won’t move forward with her big screen sequel until Brett Ratner’s completely removed from the franchise.
The fact is you can’t turn a blind eye to what’s happening in Hollywood. New allegations and sources are springing up left and right as more and more victims gain the bravery to speak up for themselves.
While there’s plenty to say, today’s focus is on one of the people using their position for good and to effect as much change as possible: Gal Gadot. According to reports, Gadot won’t agree to move forward with the Wonder Woman sequel until “accused Hollywood sexual harasser” Brett Ratner is removed from the franchise entirely. With actresses like Ellen Page and Olivia Munn calling out Ratner for his history of sexual harassment, Gadot’s stance comes as an act of solidarity against a man whose production company RatPac-Dune Entertainment served on Wonder Woman.
As Page Six learned from a source:
"She’s tough and stands by her principles. She also knows the best way to hit people like Brett Ratner is in the wallet. She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops. They can’t have a movie rooted in women’s empowerment being part-financed by a man accused of sexual misconduct against women."
Though Warner Bros. already severed ties with Ratner, Gadot wants to make sure the studio buys out his financing deal so he can’t profit from the films.
Of course, it’s a bold move, but warranted. Wonder Woman made $821.7 million at the box office this summer. Many expect its sequel to make that much more, and it obviously can’t be made without Gadot. Like Patty Jenkins, she maintains a unique position for negotiating … and an effective one at that.
It’s a fair trade-off, isn’t it? Wonder Woman is meant to empower women. And I think any true fan would prefer not to have a sequel than to let someone known for harassing women profit from the film.

Change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes one stand after another. Solidarity. Accountability. And just doing better each day, so cool for Gadot for taking this stand.
