Justice League: 4 things we’d love to see in a post-credits scene

Thanks to Jason Momoa, we now know that Justice League will include some sort of post-credits scene when it hits theaters, so here’s what we’d like to see!

Jason Momoa, who will play Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League movie, recently confirmed that the movie would include a mid or post-credits scene of some sort. While he didn’t let any specific details slip, the DC films haven’t taken advantage of the excitement built into an end credits scene before. With just 30 seconds, a movie can prematurely build hype for something on the horizon, even if it’s not in production yet.

So with that in mind, there are a ton of things I’d love to see in a post-credits scene. Simply because I love DC Comics and there is a multitude of characters I’d love to see on the big screen. Of course, it’d be simple to set up Justice League 2 or give us a look at Darkseid on the planet Apokolips, but I’d much rather see another hero.

Assuming these cameos won’t happen elsewhere in the movie (because that would be a lot of ground to cover and you don’t want the story to be as convoluted as Batman v Superman), here are some of the things we want to see:

Shazam

Is it coincidence or just good marketing that DC announced the casting of Zachary Levi as Shazam and then shortly thereafter announced they found Billy Batson as well? Maybe they wanted to prepare for a little cameo. It doesn’t have to be anything big. How about a shot of Billy at the group home or something? Or you just see some kid running down the street and right before the screen goes black, you hear “Shazam!” and a lightning bolt. That would be awesome.

Another Kryptonian

Ever since the Justice League trailer first dropped, people have speculated that Supergirl will appear in Justice League. Or at least a hint of her thanks to some hologram that Bruce is looking at for like half a second. I maintain that it is, in fact, Supergirl because it just doesn’t look like Clark at all. Plus, Man of Steel already confirmed that another Kryptonian safely escaped Krypton.

If Wonder Woman‘s success this summer proved anything, the Justice League could certainly use another woman on the team. (No, I don’t think we’re going to see that much of Mera or consider her a good fit for the team anyway.) More importantly, I think Clark needs another friend and someone who understands his loss. If Kara showed up, I’m sure it would bring out another (if not happier) side of him.

A fun scene

Let’s assume for a good portion of this movie we’re going to see some recruitments, some “save some people” pep talks and a lot of saving the world. But between all that, when does Cyborg get to control an Xbox with his mind and kick the Flash’s butt in some like Gran Turismo or something? Because of their age similarities, I assume they’d be friends. So while some jokes here and there would certainly be fun — and yes, I’m about to invoke the M word as an example — it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have an end credits scene like The Avengers where the group stops for food somewhere. Or since Victor used to play football, they could totally rip-off The Incredibles and have someone throw a football for Flash to run and go get like 40 miles away.

Green Lantern Corps.

Look, it’s on the docket and those rumors regarding Armie Hammer grew so strong because he’d make a perfect Hal Jordan. But what if they’ve been keeping John Stewart or someone else under wraps? Of course, the trailers also hinted at the existence of the Lanterns already, but I’d love to see just a hint. Just the ring.

I’d like to see anything but the Rock in some sort of get-up for Black Adam. Sorry, bro.

Also, I wouldn’t mind seeing the opening of the Hall of Justice either, or if they start building the Watchtower. And this is such wishful thinking that I didn’t give it a spot, but I’d love to see some sort of Titans nod, or at least, a Robin in training nod.

Justice League opens in theaters on Nov. 17
