It seems like Joshua Jackson fans are going to see him take on the stage. In his Broadway debut, Jackson will take on Mark Medoff.

Fans of Joshua Jackson can now rejoice. It seems as if this Dawson Creek star is going to tackle Broadway next. The actor, who is currently starring in The Affair, is set to take on Children of a Lesser God next spring.

Directed by Kenny Leon, the play is one that we’re all going to want to see. Entertainment Weekly shared Leon’s thoughts on the play from a press release.

"At its essence, this is a poignant and profound love story. Ever since these characters, Sarah Norman and James Leeds, first entered the public consciousness, we’ve been fascinated by their relationship to each other and the world around them."

Children of a Lesser God first opened on Broadway back in 1980. It won the Tony back then and went on to have a film version as well. From there, it has continued to make stars of the ladies portraying Sarah Norman. (Phyllis Frelich and Marlee Matlin both portrayed her in previous productions.)

After all, both Phyllis Frelich and Marlee Matlin won awards for their performances as Sarah. (The Tony and the Oscar respectively.)

Next: Bill Murray saw Groundhog Day, twice, and we’re emotional

So who will be playing opposite Joshua in this production? We’re not sure as of now but, if the track record serves, it is going to be someone incredible! There is still plenty of time until the production opens though so the casting may not come out until we get closer to the previews!

The show will open April 11, 2018 at Studio 54. Previews will take place in March. But trust me, Children of a Lesser God is one play you won’t want to miss! So plan ahead and see our lovely Joshua Jackson in the flesh!
