Deadly games await those who dare enter the maze. SAW’s Jigsaw is at again with Halloween Horror Nights traps.
As the eighth installment of SAW hits theaters this fall, the film’s diabolical mastermind will set Halloween Horror Nights traps in a new maze experience. Returning to Halloween Horror Nights, both in Orlando and Hollywood, is a SAW-inspired maze. It remains to be seen if fans can make it out unscathed.
The SAW maze is both a celebration of the extremely popular franchise and the new, eighth installment, JIGSAW. While fans may be familiar with some of morbid games, a few new terrifying twists will be lurking around the corner. According to Charles Gray, Show Director for Creative Development, “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Orlando Resort, “this maze is truly a trap in itself.” Since the new installment won’t be in theaters till Oct. 28, SAW fans will have no idea what chaos could be waiting.
SAW has been a highly successful franchise because it preys on people’s fears and emotions. Some of the franchise’s games test the characters. Would you kill another person to save your family? Would a horrible act be justified? Will your actions be enough? The ruthless Jigsaw, a cold-blooded serial killer, pushes people to their limits.
While the SAW maze has previously appeared at Halloween Horror Nights, this new version is intended to be more intense. With unseen Jigsaw games, fans very well may be shocked at the newest forms of torture. The unknown is often more scary than any other experience.
The new SAW maze joins several other new offerings at Halloween Horror Nights this year. Previously, The Shining, Ash vs Evil Dead, and Titans of Terror experiences have been announced. Although the top-ranked Halloween experience for many years, Universal seeks new frightening, immersive and entertaining experiences. This year’s offerings look to be quite impressive.
While guests can experience haunted mazes and other activities, the park areas are transformed into a total Halloween experience. Scare-actors can be lurking behind any corner. Scare zones are themed with some of the classic fears that haunt people’s nightmares. Best experienced by an older crowd, this annual Halloween event is scary, yet fun for those who are prepared for the scary.
Halloween Horror Nights, at both Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood, are set to open on Sept. 15. The Halloween experiences will be available on select dates through Nov. 4. The event is an additional cost above park admission.
