Be prepared to crack the whip at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Creators aim to make Wonder Woman’s Golden Lasso Coaster a technological marvel.

Wonder Woman’s dominant summer continues. Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced the addition of a new thrill ride, Wonder Woman’s Golden Lasso Coaster. As thrill seekers want new and better rides, theme parks and coaster companies are listening. This new Wonder Woman coaster will be the first of its kind.

This new coaster will offer the “ world’s first, one-of-a-kind single-rail coaster.” Most roller coasters ride on a double track. The single track, with riders in a single file line, is meant to make the experience more extreme. Riders can look down, up and around without anyone or anything blocking their view. The super thin track adds to the thrill experience.

Designed by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), the Wonder Woman coaster will feature a special iBox track. This track type offers some of the smoothest roller coaster rides. Riders should expect less jerking as the cars twist, turn, and roll through the coaster.

Based on specs, the Wonder Woman coaster will offer a “straight-down 90 degree drop, two airtime hills, one 180-degree stall, a zero-g roll and overbanked turns.” Plus, the coaster track is only 15.5 inches wide. When the car turns upside down on a tiny track, riders are supposed to have a totally new experience. The thin track combined with the stalls and turns will create a stomach-dropping moment. Between the impressive maneuvers and the visually stunning track, riders just might be both scared to ride and thrilled to conqueror the Wonder Woman coaster at the same time.

As theme parks want to exceed guests’ expectations, the new Wonder Woman coaster features an interactive queue. As riders wait to board, the storyline is clear. Wonder Woman’s likeness will be a predominant feature. Also, the area will reflect Greco-Greek architecture. Lastly, Steve Trevor’s crashed plane will be incorporated. Fans of the comic book should be happy with comic book references and attention to detail.

The new Wonder Woman coaster is another example of Six Flags adding DC character rides to its parks. Earlier this year, Six Flags Great America added The Joker. That free-flying coaster quickly became a park favorite. Many DC characters are incorporated into Six Flags thrill riders. From Batman to Doctor Doom, DC Comics fans have a myriad of options at Six Flags theme parks.
