Game of Thrones season 7 premiere: Watch on Amazon Video
By Buckie Wells
Ready for the season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones? Well, read on to find out how you can watch Game of Thrones on Amazon Video with your Prime account.
I know, it feels like years since we last visited Westeros and saw what was going down with Game of Thrones. If I can’t remember my birthday last year or what I had for lunch yesterday, how does HBO expect me to remember what stupid mistake Jon Snow made in season 6? Let’s be real, he may be a hunk, but he’s certainly a lousy leader. After all, he only sent hundreds of men to their death by doing exactly what Ramsay Bolton expected him to do.
But he also confirmed R+L=J, so I’m okay with it.
Now, when we return for the big season 7 premiere, entitled “Dragonstone,” don’t expect to see exactly what everyone is up to. Especially since they’re all over the place. The big contenders to keep your eyes on will obviously be Daenerys and her dragons, Jon and Sansa Stark in the North, and of course, Cersei Lannister on the Iron Throne. If she holds the chair for the entirety of the season, I won’t be all that surprised. Game of Thrones loves a slowburn and Cersei will stop at nothing to finish what she started. I mean, once you lose literally all of your children, there’s no going back.
The anticipation for this season might be a high point for the entire series. But once again, we’re all stuck in the rut wondering if how we’re going to tune in. Do we re-subscribe to HBO? Commit to watching it at a friend’s house? For the streamers and cord-cutters, that’s always the biggest dilemma. But thanks to the Amazon Video workaround, you can just add the HBO subscription to your Amazon Prime account. It’ll be $10.99 if you’re a Prime member and $14.99 if you’re not.

Of course, it comes at an additional cost, but at least it’s hassle free. In the Manage Your Subscriptions tab of your account settings, you’ll be able to add on many premium channels, including HBO and Showtime. Thanks to Amazon Prime, you’ll be able to watch the Game of Thrones premiere on July 16, no worries.
