Six Flags superhero weekend and Coca-Cola July 4th Fest kicks off

Celebrate the Fourth of July with a super bang at Six Flags Superhero Summer Weekend and Coca-Cola July 4th Fest. With Wonder Woman, early admission and fireworks, the holiday weekend will be spectacular.

The Fourth of July holiday is often a weekend filled with good times and celebrations. For many people, a day at a theme park is a perfect way to spend a holiday weekend. Six Flags Great America marks the holiday weekend with Six Flags Superhero Summer Weekend and Coca-Cola July 4th Fest.

To kick off the celebrations, Six Flags Great America outside Chicago hosts a Superhero Summer Weekend July 1 and 2. Anyone who has been to Six Flags recently knows that the theme park is filled with superhero-themed experiences. From the new Joker Free Fly Coaster to the JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis, the theme park, like others in the national chain that have been celebrating similar events all season, is a DC Comics fan’s delight.

With the huge success of the Wonder Woman movie, Six Flags will host a Wonder Woman meet and greet on Saturday and Sunday. Guests can take pictures at the exclusive photo op. Just don’t get caught in her Lasso of Truth.

Also, guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite superhero costumes. From Batman to Superman, all the heroes are welcome. Prizes for the best full-dressed costumes will be awarded.

Don’t forget about fireworks!

Superheroes aren’t the only reason to visit Six Flags Great America over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The Coca-Cola July 4th Fest, which will be held at other Six Flags locations as well, offers special savings, bonus time and fireworks for the occasion.

Guests who bring a Coca-Cola product to the park will receive early park admission July 2 through July 4. After receiving a special wristband, guests can ride select rides starting at 9:30 a.m. Rides include The JOKER, Goliath, JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis and more. Please check with the park on each day for participating rides.

Any Fourth of July celebration needs fireworks. Six Flags will have a special fireworks presentation each night. Starting at 9:45 p.m., the sky will be filled with bursting bright lights. Don’t forget to secure a perfect spot for the best view.
