The Last Jedi: New Star Wars Merch Offers a Closer Look at Rey

In honor of Force for Change, Disney unveiled new merchandise for The Last Jedi that will be available at Star Wars Celebration and Disney Parks.

Of course, Star Wars makes it a point to give the audience memorable heroes that everyone can relate to. But Lucasfilm also does their best to demonstrate a similar awareness outside of the films, which is why they partner with Disney and UNICEF to do Force for Change every year:

"Twenty-five percent of the retail sale price from each of these products will be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power, a program that uses the world’s first WEARABLE-FOR-GOOD to give kids the power to get active and save lives by earning points that unlock food packets for malnourished children around the world."

This week, Star Wars released a look at this year’s new merchandise inspired by The Last Jedi. One shirt design dedicates itself exclusively to Rey (Daisy Ridley) and is basically an expanded look at the previous promo image we saw. But it also confirms the look and color of her “Jedi robes.”

Check it out:

There’s a combination of light and dark colors and she’s keeping the arm wraps from the previous film. Plus, the top portion looks like an updated version of the traditional robes (suns out, guns out), while the bottom flows into some sort of skirt thing. I take this as a business up top, party down below type aesthetic.

And there’s a pin, too:

According to Lucasfilm, the merchandise will debut at Star Wars Celebration this year, then become available in all the Disney Parks. Apparently, the only way to get your hands on them is buy them in person. Unfortunately, they won’t be available online or through the Disney app.
