Oscar Sunday is fast approaching, so it’s time to study up on the ballot and make your final guesses at the winners.
The Academy Awards are the most magical, glitzy, glamorous day of the year for avid film nerds and casual consumers alike. Whether you’ve seen every movie nominated or only caught a couple, it’s hard to turn away from the revelry surrounding Hollywood’s biggest annual event. We all have our opinions on the nominees — which was the best, which was the most important, which was the most necessary. And the most fun part of the night is undoubtedly making those guesses with your friends and bragging and/or sulking once that envelope is ripped open and the final announcement is made.
With only a few days left to gather your resources, do your research, and reveal your predictions, the time for finalizing your ballot is now. It doesn’t matter if you’ll be watching with a group of pals, all by yourself, or from within the actual Dolby Theatre in Hollywood — your “and-the-Oscar-goes-to” theories are important! Take the time to scroll through the entire list of nominees so that, when the fateful night arrives, at least you can say that your shouting at the television is informed shouting.
