A Fresh Look at Funko’s New Lines for 2017, Including The 100 Pops

It looks like it’ll be another banner year for Funko POP collectors, especially fans of shows like Westworld, Stranger Things, and The 100.

Over the weekend, this year’s Toy Fair took place. FanSided went to the Fair, snapped us some shots, and got us some tidbits from the Funko booth about some upcoming lines.

Look at those The 100 Pops in all their glory! Check out that release date, too: April 2017. According to our intel from a Funko spokesperson, fan requests actually led to the creation and upcoming release of this line. That’s right: the power of The 100 fans is strong. (We particularly like the fact that Clarke and Lexa are standing next to each other on their own little pedestal.)

Westworld will have a series of POP figures as well. Right now, HBO’s listing at their official store only says they’re in “pre-release,” and the Funko spokesperson added that they appear to be the first toys associated with the series. (Presumably, not even the host toys come to life, not even Maeve, Teddy, or Dolores.)

Look at how adorable that Barb Pop is from Stranger Things. Look at it and despair that Barb will not return. (Also, that Demogorgon is absolutely terrifying, so mission accomplished there.)

Like The 100 Pops, we can expect to see Spider-Man: Homecoming toys start to hit shelves in April per this photo. The Funko spokesperson added that there will be more toys, but Marvel wanted to keep some of them held back. (Is it too much to speculate that there’s probably going to be a Pop of Zendaya’s character, who may or may not be Mary Jane Watson?)

Even the Pop version of Wonder Woman looks like she will be able to take you down in 30 seconds or less. We love the detail on Steve Trevor’s hair, too. The sign in the photo also reads April 2017.

That Groot Pop is way cuter than it has any right to be. Look at that smile! Look at it! The Gamora figure on the far left also looks really great, especially with the face detailing.

Those are just some of the toy lines coming out this year. Funko itself has posted photos of lines like Batman ’66 and more.
