“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD:” A World of Life Model Decoys?

“Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” isn’t messing around with their use life model decoys. So we have some fantastic ideas for them for future episodes

Since Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD seems to be doubling down on the killer robots—and I mean really doubling down—there’s a lot of crazy potential. How badly are they hedging their bets? Well, in this week’s episode, we ended with the reveal that four of our six SHIELD compatriots are now life model decoys.

And one of those four just reactivated the LMD!May. So it’s not looking like good odds for FitzSimmons to survive, a la “Itchy and Scratchy Land.

We here at Culturess have a few hopes and dreams for whatever Agents of SHIELD has in store next.

Give Us A Peggy Carter LMD!

Everything is better when you add Hayley Atwell. With Marvel’s Agent Carter firmly canceled and Peggy firmly deceased and buried in the larger MCU, you would expect SHIELD to have some sort of digital database of one of their founder’s minds, right?

Or you know, Fitz has some way to take all of her work on various case files and digitizing it into some semblance of a brain.

Why not make an LMD Peggy? She could be the next Director!

Give us a Grant Ward LMD!

What better way to completely mess with every single member of our SHIELD crew then to revive one of their greatest friends-turned-enemies-turned-evil-Inhuman?

But don’t make him himself. Make it so that he’s the most straitlaced agent we’ve ever seen. Except that would make him more like he was before the Hydra reveal, which was kind of boring. It might be more enjoyable now that we have all that history, though.

Then again, SHIELD holding onto some sort of digital copy of his mind sounds like a really, really bad idea.

Give us all the LMDs!

Make this upcoming episode end with the capture of FitzSimmons so that all of our main SHIELD cast are LMDs.

And then have the subsequent episode proceed like any other episode. Except that everyone’s just a little bit…off. Nothing’s going wrong, they’re sent on some standard mission to retrieve a mysterious 084, everyone’s getting along.

So then you have to ask yourself: is this everyone working as LMDs or is this everyone in the Framework? (Maybe I’ve been watching too much Legion…)

It’ll be interesting to see where Agents of SHIELD takes us with all these LMDs. What is Radcliffe’s end-game? Might we get a cameo from Bobbi and Hunter? We can only hold our breath and wait!
