Justin Trudeau’s Face When Meeting with Donald Trump Really Says It All

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made his own visit to the White House today, and cameras caught him making a fascinating facial expression.

Fresh off yet another weekend trip to Mar-A-Lago, this time getting to play golf with the Prime Minister of Japan, Donald Trump returned to the actual White House and kicked off his week by meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada. As is normal, there were plenty of photos taken.

Reuters managed to snap this absolute gem, though.

That is the look of a man who does not know where those hands have gone lately. Alternatively, he may question why it looks like the president wants a low-five instead of a handshake. Well, maybe it had to do with the fact that Trump shook Prime Minister Abe’s hand for 19 seconds, which is about 18 seconds too long. 17, if you’re charitable.

Trudeau also posted a photo to his personal Twitter account.

That strikes us as a polite, yet strained smile. This likely came after the handshake, so he may still be worrying about the aforementioned hands.

However, those weren’t the last interesting photos. This one comes straight from the office of Prime Minister Trudeau on Twitter. It turns out that the president and the PM had a meeting with women executives!

You can spot Trudeau on the right. The looks on the faces of some of the women here have to be seen to be believed, though. This meeting appears to have presaged the announcement that there will now be a Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. The Prime Minister’s official Twitter account confirmed its existence. A joint statement issued also confirms that Canada and the States will work together on this council. (You’ll need to scroll down to the second-to-last paragraph, but it’s in there nevertheless, presumably because it’s 2017, and this sort of thing is sort of Trudeau’s thing.)

We just wonder how long it took the Prime Minister to excuse himself and find a place to wash his hands, then probably use hand sanitizer for good measure.
