Johnny Manziel Gives President Donald Trump A Twitter Lesson

In an effort to stay relevant, washed up ex-NFL player Johnny Manziel gave President Trump advice on how to deal with Twitter. It didn’t go well.

It looks as if Johnny Manziel has his sights on a new job as President Trump’s social media manager or just trying to be a good bro. Though, it isn’t like Manziel’s life wasn’t already in enough turmoil; he decided to give the new POTUS advice on how to deal with negative comments on Twitter. It didn’t take very long for Twitter to take notice and for them to turn on Manziel. Bigly!

Thanks to the folks at The Score for getting the screengrab of Johnny Manziel’s original tweet to President Trump. (WARNING: He used some adult language.)

I guess Johnny Football just can’t take his own advice and stay out of his mentions. It must have gotten so bad for Manziel that he not only deleted the original tweet but his entire account. Just when you thought this Football Jesus couldn’t give you any more gifts — he just keeps giving us more!

On a side note, President Trump happens to know who Manziel is. Even with Manziel’s on and off field issues, Trump still advocated for Manziel to be picked up in the 2014 NFL Draft. He even chastised teams for not taking him early in the first round.

Eventually, Manziel signed with the Cleveland Browns late in the first round. He only played a total of 15 games in two seasons for the Browns before his personal problems cost him his job. He’s been available on the free agency market since 2016. Further, Manziel was suspended at the beginning of the 2016 NFL season for a failed drug test. He was also indicted on misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley. I don’t see any teams sniffing around for his services even before his tweet to President Trump.

If Johnny Football wants a real chance at salvaging his career, he should stay in his little hole in College Station, TX, get clean and stay off of Twitter. We all know that isn’t going to happen, so now we wait for Manziel’s eminent return to Twitter.
