The Rams Hired The Youngest Head Coach In NFL History and We Say Thank You

The Los Angeles Rams just hired the youngest head coach in NFL history. His name is Sean McVay, and all we can say is Thank you.

The team formally known as the St. Louis Rams just made a move to Los Angeles a few months ago. They also took the opportunity and made a move to get a new head coach. The Los Angeles Rams took to Twitter yesterday to formally announce the news they hired former Washington’s Offensive Coordinator, Sean McVay.

At 30 years old, this makes McVay the youngest head coach in the NFL’s history. This also makes him the first millennial head coach in the NFL. The previous NFL’s youngest head coach was Lane Kiffin, who was 31 years old at the time he was hired on by the Oakland Raiders. Hopefully, McVay will have better luck than Kiffin did as head coach of anything.

Like in all things it didn’t take long for social media to react to the announcement of McVay’s new job and his movie star looks. Most of the LA Rams fans are worried he might be too young and inexperienced. McVay started coaching in 2008 as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Assistant wide receivers coach and worked his way up the food chain.

Still, the consensus is his ascension to head coach is not typical. For the more casual NFL, football fans had an entirely different feeling about McVay. You would have thought the NFL found the long lost athletic Weasley. He’s even got fans of other teams considering switching teams.

One person has even renamed him McBae, and we are totally here for it.

It is yet to be seen if Sean McBae will pan out as an NFL head coach but if it doesn’t, we know his movie star looks could land him a job in Hollywood.
