Game of Thrones still hasn’t finished filming for Season 7, as we already knew. Now, however, we have very firm confirmation that shooting will continue for some time. As our sister site, Winter is Coming, has reported, Kit Harington has played yet another game of Where in the World is Kit Harington?
This time, he’s in Iceland. Behold, photographic evidence:
WiC also links to a now-deleted status that explicitly states that he is in Iceland. The puffy coat certainly helps inform us that he’s somewhere rather cold. As WiC also notes, he’s likely filming another scene beyond the Wall. Via other, earlier spoilers, we’ll know he’s taking a trip with the Hound, Tormund Giantsbane, and Jorah Mormont.
Though it may be a new year, we have not given up on our favorite thing to do with Game of Thrones spoilers.
Silly Game of Thrones speculation follows.
With Jon Snow back up in the North, we have to speculate on how he prepared to go beyond the Wall once more. He can’t just wear all-black anymore, and it feels like the furs he sported as the King in the North might be a bit insufficient with winter now in full force.
Speaking of the fact that he’s the King in the North, why would Jon agree to do something like this? Did he learn absolutely nothing from his believed half-brother heading off to the Red Wedding? That did not end well, Jon Snow. It wouldn’t surprise us if this little trip up North ends up as a cliffhanger of sorts.
We aren’t saying it’ll close out the season — that seems cheap after his murder closed out Season 5 — but we’re saying this will could very easily close out an episode and keep everyone buzzing for the next week.
