PlayStation Plus Essential tier members had a decent offering for March, and April actually has some decent names thrown into the video game ring, too.
Here are your free games for the month of April:
- RoboCop: Rogue City
- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
- Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory
First up is RoboCop: Rogue City, which is a first-person shooter that puts you in the shoes of Alex Murphy as he makes his way through a crime-riddled Detroit. There's definitely a bit of meandering between missions that gets a little tedious and boring, but man does that action make up for it. There's nothing like bulldozing your way through enemies, and the combat feels fantastic. It's the pitch-perfect B-movie version of a video game.
Also, they just released a big update last year that added new game plus, something players had been asking for, so that's a bonus! It's a solid AA outing for sure that you should check out if you haven't yet.
Next up is your bloody video game for the month, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which is an asymmetrical horror survival game based on the 1974 film. You can play as either a victim or a family member for a total of seven playable members per match with six different maps to choose from. You get XP from each round and can level up skill trees as you progress through the game. It's nothing overly complicated, but it will definitely give you quite a few hours of entertainment.
Last up is Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, which slows down the offerings this month. You play as Keisuke Amazawa, who's been accused of a crime he didn't commit. So you're forced to dive into the Digital World of Digimon and join a group of hackers to find the real culprit behind the crime... and uncover mysteries plaguing the land.
Also as an FYI to Extra and Premium members, there are at least 8 games leaving the offerings on April 15, including Animal Well, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and Slay the Spire.
