Zendaya entered the 2025 Golden Globes as a newly engaged woman, and she's just over the moon about it!
Her boyfriend of eight years, Tom Holland, proposed to her while she was spending the holidays with her family. According to TMZ, the outlet that first reported the news, the remarkable relationship step wasn't over the top, as several celebrity proposals are, but it was "very romantic and intimate."
The couple met while filming the Marvel movie Spider-Man: Homecoming and an instant connection clicked. However, both Zendaya and Holland kept their relationship private from the public, as it was theirs. In 2021, they went Instagram Official, with Holland posting a sweet 25th birthday tribute to his girlfriend, calling her his "MJ."
In the photo, the couple are in costume for their respective characters, Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson, as they pose for a mirror selfie. Zendaya uses a classic 35 MM film camera for the snap.
It was a stellar move to promote the film and shut down the rumors that Zendaya and Holland were an item, as several fans speculated. Once the post went viral, the speculation became a reality, and from that point forward, Zendaya and Holland were known as "Tomdaya."

While walking the Red Carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, January 5, Zendaya channeled Old Hollywood in a coppery satin gown and emerald necklace, styling her auburn hair in a wavy bouffant. The look gave Marilyn Monroe and Dorothy Dandridge elements with a modern twist.
While the gown and jewelry were the height of glamour, all eyes were on the actress's ring finger, which sported a 5 Caret diamond and gold band engagement ring. Throughout the night, Zendaya showed several friends and colleagues the impressive stone.

The engagement was certainly the talk of the night, as it should be. Zendaya was also nominated for a Globe in the "Best Actress in a Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy" category for her role as Tashi Duncan in the 2024 movie, Challengers.
Aside from Zendaya and Holland's momentous next step, there was another engaged couple at the Globes, Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The two got engaged in December 2024, and the former Disney Channel star showcased her ring in an titled "Forever Begins Now."
