Many remember the hype around The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. No matter where you turned, someone was recommending it when it was released in 2021.

Since then, it has become a series with The Kiss Curse releasing in 2022 and now, we're getting The Wedding Witch. For those who have read the series, you'll know that this series follows the three Penhallow brothers as they have their own romances.

Admittedly, I didn't absolutely love the other books in the series so I was understandably skeptical heading into The Wedding Witch. However, I should've known better and decided to trust Erin Sterling to deliver a fun and romantic story.

Before getting into my thoughts though, I'd like to thank Avon for sending me a finished copy of The Wedding Witch so I could read and review it for all of you.

The Wedding Witch is arguably the best book in The Graves Glen series.

While some might describe The Graves Glen Series as a set of interconnected standalones, it is best to read the first two books before The Wedding Witch. Not only will it introduce you to our characters but it will give you some much-needed backstory. As someone who went back and re-read the first book and then read the second for the first time, I can confidently say this.

With that being said, this story follows Bowen Penhallow who is the final single brother, and the romance he has with Tamsyn. If you recall, Tamsyn played a role in The Ex Hex but these two meet because Tamsyn is an archivist who buys and sells magical items. She decides to work exclusively for Bowen and the two have this flirty relationship but don't want to take things too far as they're co-workers.

Once Bowen goes to Graves Glen for Yule, things change as Tamsyn sees an offer for a massive reward for a special brooch. Coincidentally, Bowen has to go to the same wedding to help out his friend, Declan who is a ghost and his ex-fiance is the one getting married. Tamsyn and Bowen meet and are almost able to get the brooch until a spell is cast and they're sent back to 1957.

While there, the two have to find the brooch, make sure Bowen's grandparents get married and you know, make sure they exist in the present. With loads of fake dating moments including the only one-bed trope, this one is incredibly fun.

What I adored most about The Wedding Witch was just how well-paced it was. There was a good amount of romance, character development, and action. It didn't feel like there was too much of one or the other. It just all blended so smoothly together and made for an absolutely delightful read for the spooky season. The story also takes place during Yule which we don't see much in romance books and could be a great one for the Yule/Christmas season.

Of all the books in the Graves Glen series, The Wedding Witch was my absolute favorite and was an utter delight to read. If you're not caught up on the series, this is your sign. Plus having all the books side-by-side will make a pretty picture. Honestly, this book was so much fun and I'm happy I decided to give Erin Sterling another chance.

The Wedding Witch by Erin Sterling is out now where books are sold.
