It seems some interesting news has been released about the upcoming Star Wars film, The Mandalorian & Grogu. The movie, with a projected release date of May 22, 2026, has reportedly finished filming.

However, that doesn't answer perhaps one of the biggest questions we and many have about the film: how involved was Pedro Pascal? As filming was underway in California, Pascal, who plays main character Mandalorian Din Djarin and recently Grogu's adoptive father, has been busy filming Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in London, England.

While Pascal may not have always been in the Mandalorian suit during filming for the Star Wars Disney Plus series The Mandalorian, he did lend his voice to the Star Wars character. For three seasons Pascal, alongside an incredibly talented cast, stole the hearts of both original and new Star Wars fans.

It remains one of the more popular and successful Star Wars shows on the streaming platform and for several reasons that we do not have time to explain today. For some, the shift from a season 4 to a full-length feature film might be an odd choice, as the series thrived on the advantages of episodes taking the time to fully develop characters, both heroes and villains alike.

And it's no surprise that Star Wars films in recent years have been less than stellar... But all that said, many fans wondered if Pascal would have the time to get back into the beskar armor or if body doubles were used.

Unfortunately, we do not have the answer at this time. The reason we think it is plausible that Pascal was involved in the film is due to the fact that Lucasfilm has a London studio location, known as ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) London.

Which, as we mentioned above, is the same city where Pascal is currently filming The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But we're curious what you think.

Do you think Pascal will be in the Mandalorian armor for at least part of the film? Do you think Moff Gideon will somehow return for The Mandalorian & Grogu film?
