Some of the events that happened lately are shocking, but this one is rather of a surprising nature – pop star Taylor Swift publicly announced her support of Kamala Harris who is the Vice President of the United States, in the 2024 US Presidential campaign. The statement followed the much-anticipated clash between Harris and Trump in the Philadelphia broadcast earlier this month. One of the largest global music icons, Swift, with an estimated claim that the critical event for shaping the country’s future is coming closer, shared her thoughts on this matter, besides urging fans to register to vote.

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter shared a message on the subject that not only confirmed her vote for the upcoming election but also pointed at a rather questionable practice when AI-generated images of her were published by Trump earlier. Swift spoke of her concerns about the possibility of the spread of such technologies by such technologies admitting that recently she was informed of the creation of the AI of ‘her’ supporting Trump’s presidency campaign site.

In addition to the text, Swift posted a picture of herself with her pet cat, Benjamin Button, which encouraged the informal and at the same time rather serious mood of the publication. It was her way of encouraging people to go out there and do their homework as far as major matters of concern and politics are concerned, to make wise choices during the voting process.

Swift then said, ”In the 2024 Presidential Election you will see me voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Kamala is a steady-handed, gifted leader...who can bring this country by calm and not chaos.” She also pointed out that Walz has always been a supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and women’s rights.

This endorsement did not escape the attention of Walz, this was evident when he responded positively to an endorsement by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on a live interview. “First of all let me say, I’m incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift,” the veteran said before he addressed the nation.

The post also extended an insult to Trump’s vice-presidential running mate J. D. Vance who once called single female Democrats in Ohio “ childless cat ladies. ” Swift ended her post using the name of the cattiness referred to by Vance – a clever way to ‘wear’ the insult as a badge of honor.

Swift’s decision to take a stand in political affairs is quite peculiar because she has always been pretty selective about sharing her views on politics. But her impact cannot be questioned for her Eras Tour has been found to have contributed to stimulating the local economy while her earlier attempts at voter drive campaign had seen immediate results on the target population.

As the political campaign for the 2024 election gains momentum, it is difficult to underestimate the impact that the endorsement of Swift will have on millions of her fans and the outcome in such states as Iowa, New Hampshire, and other similar states. The pop star’s message is clear: the force of lies has to be countered with the force of truth, and each of the votes is crucial.
