When Target first started doing collabs with major designers, it was like a free-for-all. You were lucky if you got one item. I remember the year they did a collection with Missoni. I got a pair of flats with the classic Missoni pattern on it. I kept the box because I knew I would never be able to afford the brand otherwise. The collabs have not been as great as those first few were, but that's about to change because Target is collabing with the GOAT: Diane Von Furstenburg.

To say I'm excited about this collab would be an understatement. The queen of the wrap dress has her own style and based on what's already on Target's website, she gets that across perfectly in this new line. And it's not just clothes. There are home goods as well, including plates, furniture, and bedding.

But because of how expansive this collection is, let's just look at a few of my faves that I will be trying to get my hands on when it all goes on sale on Saturday, March 23 at 3 a.m. ET (yes, you read that time right).

Let's start with a dress! It is Diane Von Furstenberg after all. The first dress is a green geometric-patterned long-sleeve midi wrap dress that looks like it fits like a dream. It's just what you would expect from DVF but at $50, it's much more affordable than her couture collection.

The next dress is one I will be having my eye on this Saturday. It's a sleeveless pink and orange geometric-patterned shift dress that looks like it would fit right in with the 1960s mod trend. They are calling it a 90's dress, but I'm not seeing that. Either way, it's only $35.

There is also this incredibly cute strappy black sea spotted dress that looks perfect for summer. The pattern is fun, and you can never really go wrong with black. And at $35, it won't kill my wallet either.

Let's take a look at a few of the home items! This category has prices from the very affordable to...let's just say that some things are way too close to $1000 for me.

First up are two different serving trays. I don't know why, but I have a thing for serving trays. I put them in lots of different places as pieces of decor, and they are a perfect way to put some pattern in a room and have a place to throw your keys. The first tray is black, white, and gold in a geometric pattern. It screams the 1920s/1930s and it's only $20. The next tray is the same but it's green, blue, black, and white, so it's much more colorful. It's also only $20.

There are also several sets of sheets with patterns ranging from leaves to animal print to a simple white twig pattern. The price depends on how big your bed is, but they range from $50 to $100. How soft they are remains to be seen (or felt), but if you're looking for DVF sheets at a bargain, this is where it's at!

And don't get me started on the mug and saucer set. The saucer/plates and mugs come in a bunch of different colors but in all the same geometric pattern. The set also comes with a golden stand to put them on. It's possibly the cutest piece in the whole collection. It is $50 but for four plates and four mugs, that's not bad.

On to the furniture! If money wasn't an object, I would take any and all of the furniture in the Charlotte's Garden pattern. It's floral, abstract, and on a yellow background. It looks infinitely happy. And when contrasted with the modern shapes of the furniture, it's absolutely gorgeous. The vintage weave black and white pattern also doesn't hurt my feelings. The furniture ranges from around $250 to $900.
