Since their reunion in 2019, the Jonas Brothers have been booked and busy. When not performing together, the brothers are either making solo music, acting, or even, hosting reality TV shows. Who can say no to watching a few episodes of Claim to Fame?
Coming up in 2025, the band is celebrating its 20th anniversary and that's why it's so great to see them performing on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Secrest 2025. Looking back, the Jo Bros have performed in the past but this one feels like something different.
The main difference is that the band hasn't released any new music since "The Album" in 2023. While the songs were good, the overall thought was that the album was entirely too short. Even so, the band's "Five Albums. One Night. Word Tour" was an utter delight for fans, both old and new as it felt like a celebration of the band's legacy.
That's why there are so many questions heading into 2025 because the band is performing to kick off 2025 but what does that mean for the rest of the year?
Is 2025 poised to be a big year for the Jonas Brothers?
For those who attended the Five Albums. One Night. Tour," then you'll remember something specific shared by the brothers. The band shared that they'd be doing an anniversary tour to celebrate the band being around for 20 years. Since then, there hasn't been any news on that front as it felt like the band let the cat out of the bag without realizing that fans were going to put all the clues together.
The other thing of note is Joe's solo album. Entitled Music For People Who Believe in Love, the album was supposed to come out in October. Joe ended up pushing it back and since then, we have yet to get any updates on it. Will the album ever come out? Hopefully but at this point, it's a big question mark. Coupled with Joe's solo album, Nick is set to perform on Broadway in 2025 which is a huge deal.
Ultimately, the most concerning thing is the lack of information being shared with fans. Most of us were excited about Joe's solo album, only to know nothing about its release. Coupled with the upcoming anniversary tour rumors and a supposed book, fans are right to have questions and want to know some answers. Honestly, it doesn't feel very geninue when things are getting pushed back or ignored in favor of other ventures.
As a long-time Jonas Brothers fan though, I'm incredibly excited about seeing the band perform and hope they end up either playing some old favorites or something completely new. Hopefully, in 2025, the band will give us the clarity we've been craving.
