Certain authors come into your life, and it feels like you’ve been questioning how you read books before you picked them up. That’s exactly how it feels with Kennedy Ryan.

With my first introduction being the Grip series, I’ve gone on to read many of her series, and one of my favorites has to be Skyland. I have yet to find a more impactful yet emotionally devastating series than this one.

Since it’s Kennedy Ryan, you know she pulls out all the stops and gives you that romance you’re craving while also ripping your heart out in other ways. Can’t Get Enough has been years in the making, and with it being both the final book in the series and focusing on Hendrix, I knew this one was going to do me in.

With that being said, I’d like to thank Forever for giving me an ARC so I was able to read and review this one early. Let’s be honest, though, this one hasn’t strayed far from my thoughts since finishing it, so I know I’ll be getting a finished copy soon.

Can’t Get Enough is a glorious end to the Skyland series.

Given the topics of the previous novels, it was no surprise that Can’t Get Enough started on a heartbreaking note. Hendrix is dealing with her mom, who has dementia, and it’s causing her to become a danger to herself. At first, Hendrix is ready to move in, but her aunt says that she’ll do it and take care of her sister.

While her mother’s diagnosis isn’t mentioned in the synopsis, it is something I wanted to make very clear from the start. Things are tough for Hendrix already, but possibly falling for a taken man? Now, that’s the real tea. She ends up meeting Maverick at a party and the connection is instant. Not only is Mav interested in her business, but he can relate to what she’s going through.

At first, it seems like the two are bound to be together, but in a way only Kennedy Ryan can pull off, these two have to jump through all kinds of real-life hoops to get there. Hendrix ends up having to stay with her mother while also juggling her career. Meanwhile, Maverick is trying to figure out what’s next for him while convincing Hendrix to give him a chance.

While Can’t Get Enough is a heavy story, it doesn’t shy away from the more tender parts either, as the sensual dance Hendrix and Maverick do is intoxicating. These two feel like the true embodiment of soulmates. The sexual connection between the two is unmatched, and from the start, everything clicks into place for them to be together. As mentioned, life does make that pretty difficult.

Hendrix and Maverick go through so much throughout Can’t Get Enough, yet it makes them stronger people and better partners. The good thing is that these two had excellent support systems, especially Hendrix. Seeing her enjoy time with Soledad and Yasmen felt like the moment we’d all been waiting for.

While normally I’d have some critique, I truly have no notes when it comes to Can’t Get Enough. Kennedy Ryan continues to wow me and remains one of my favorite romance authors of all time. If you haven’t read this book or series yet, then don’t wait. Skyland is a series of stories you’ll want to devour while also savoring everything placed in front of you.
