Bull Moon Rising will have you falling in love with Ruby Dixon

When it comes to unique romances, no one does it better than Ruby Dixon. You might recognize her as the author of the Ice Planet Barbarians series but now, she's giving us Bull Moon Rising.

As far as fantasy romances go, I'm not someone who loves them. If anything, I'm usually one to steer away from trends but put an author I enjoy like Ruby Dixon at the helm and I'm in. That's exactly what happened with Bull Moon Rising.

Plus let's be honest, as readers, we're all suckers for a good cover and there is no denying the beauty that is Bull Moon Rising. Aside from that, I knew this book would be a longer reader and with fall setting in, I was craving that.

With that being said, I'd like to thank Ace for sending me a finished copy as it's gorgeous and I haven't stopped re-reading passages and looking at it since it arrived.

Bull Moon Rising will have you climbing the walls for more.

If you've read Ruby Dixon before, you know that she writes alien romances and other creatures and this time is no different. Bull Moon Rising follows our main character, Aspeth, the daughter of a Holder who is looking to try to save her home and get some freedom. Along with her best friend, Gwenna, the two decide to join the Royal Artifactual Guild.

Once there, it's clear no one takes them seriously but Aspeth is determined. She ends up meeting Hawk who is a minotaur or a Taurian. The two strike up a deal that he'll help her get into the Guild in exchange for them getting married. In this world, Taurians deal with the Conquest Moon which is basically a period where they want to breed or enjoy as much time with their partner as they can.

While Aspeth isn't too keen on the idea, the two get married and from there, the adventure begins as we watch Hawk try to help her class get prepared for Guild life. There is so much action and adventure packed in these pages that you won't be able to put this book down. Coupled with the intense chemistry between Aspeth and Hawk, it will feel like your book is going to catch fire in the best way.

Eventually, things come to a head when Aspeth's past starts to catch up to her and it feels like a situation they won't make it out of. Even so, Ruby Dixon pulls it off and gives us some delightful Conquest Moon content. This book does have it fair share of steamy moments and these two are just so hot for each other that you know their first time is going to be epic.

All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by how many I enjoyed Bull Moon Rising. Not only is it making me look forward to the next book in the series, but it's making me want to go back and read more from Ruby Dixon. Plus this special first edition hardcover is just too gorgeous to pass up. If you're on the fence about this book, don't wait as you'll want Bull Moon Rising adorning your shelves, trust me.
