It Ends With Us actor Blake Lively isn't done filing complaints against director Justin Baldoni. In addition to the claims made so far in the ongoing situation, a new filing claims that Lively wasn't the only woman on set made to feel uncomfortable.
If you haven't been following the allegations so far, and aren't quite prepared for a deep dive, a very brief summary should do for now. In short, Lively has made numerous claims related to Baldoni's inappropriate behavior on set while filming the movie. The underlying theme of all of it is that Baldoni made Lively uncomfortable on multiple occasions, venturing into harassment territory if allegations are true.
Now, according to Page Six, it seems Lively wasn't the only woman put in an awkward position while working on the project. The new filing includes messages between Lively and other women involved with the film but doesn't name them outright.
The initial lawsuit and everything that has allegedly come out about it since is a mess, and it's impossible to tell which side may or may not be in the wrong, or who may or may not be telling the truth or could be leaving out contextual information. Everyone from fans to lawyers have given their insights and opinions online, but ultimately, a court will eventually decide the outcome of the whole thing if it gets that far.
I'm not here to speculate on what really went down on that set, but I have had mixed feelings about this film from the moment it was originally announced. I don't have an issue with the original Colleen Hoover story itself -- it's less "glorifying" of domestic violence than many people claim. But people's overall obsession with this story in particular has never sat right with me. The narrative itself means well, but I'm not sure it's executed or advertised in the right way for its intended audience, and that has never served it well.
If you're tired of hearing about the Lively-Baldoni situation, I have a strong feeling it will be a while before people stop talking about it.
