Sarah Hawley is already killing it as a romance author. She’s already published two books within one year which are A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch.

I feel like we rarely see debut authors do that. Even so, she’s making it seem like light work but thankfully, they’re set in the same series and world.

Looking at other traditionally published romance authors, they usually publish one book a year, sometimes two in a good year. Honestly, I’m super impressed by the rate Sarah Hawley is going right now but I don’t want this series to end.

However, we’re here to talk about her latest which is A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch so I’d like to thank Berkley for sending me a digital ARC to read and review for you.

A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch is another stunner from Sarah Hawley.

Since this is the second book in a series, I highly recommend reading the first one. This book is set after the events of A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and you’ll be spoiled if you haven’t read it. If you’re fine with that, you’re good to start with this one.

A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch follows Calladia who is a badass witch from book 1 as she ends up stumbling upon Astaroth the Demon. He’s incredibly powerful and was the villain from Book 1. The twist is that Astaroth has amnesia and has no idea what happened or who he is or how it relates to Calladia.

While Calladia immediately wants to kick his butt, she starts to understand him and see how truly ignorant Astaroth is of his past. These two end up embarking on a road trip for him to get his memory back and figure out what’s going on in the demon plane. It’s such a fun story but the characters are what made me like this book.

I feel like we rarely see characters like Calladia. She’s tough, strong, and isn’t afraid to jump into a fight to get her point across. She’s muscular, a personal trainer, and genuinely so cool. She ended up being my favorite part of this story. I also liked how we got to see a different side of Astaroth and see his redemption arc which was brilliantly done.

Sarah Hawley didn’t let the events of the first book go ignored which impressed me. She made sure Mariel and Oz didn’t go easy on him. He got what he deserved in every sense of the word but she didn’t go too far. He was redeemed in the best way and this book gets me even more excited to see which characters she pairs up next.

I feel like this series tends to be under the radar but it’s such a fun paranormal read. I think if you’re looking for a new paranormal romance series, you can’t go wrong in trying out the Glimmer Falls series.
