Black Friday is still one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Even though most stores are closed on Thanksgiving, you can order online, including romance books.

While reading is an amazing hobby, it isn’t always the cheapest. Whether you’re looking to grab some books for yourself or shopping for others, romance books are the way to go.

Of course, you’ll have to make sure you’re grabbing something for yourself if you’re shopping for friends and family. Due to that, I wanted to share some incredible romance books I’ve read this year worth adding to your cart on Black Friday.

For instance, Target is running a promo in which you buy 2, get 1 free for books, music & movies. While there are other stores, they’re keeping things close to the chest until then.

These 6 romance books are worth the price on Black Friday.

Thankfully I wanted to share this a little bit early so you’re able to get a jump on some romance books and have them added to your cart. In addition, you can make sure to check and see if you can find them in-store. Either way, let’s get into some great romance books that were released in 2023.

1. The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest

The Neighbor Favor is still one of my favorite romance books I’ve read this year and it was released in February. This is a love letter to romance books and books in general. We follow Lily who starts emailing her favorite author and they build up a relationship until he ghosts her.

From there, the two meet but this time, she knows him as Nick and he knows it’s her but she doesn’t know him. This was Kristina Forest’s adult romance debut and I feel like it didn’t get as much love as it should. Due to that, I think it’s worth grabbing before the second book comes out in February 2024.

2. The Art of Scandal by Regina Black

While I haven’t read The Art of Scandal yet, this one is on my Black Friday list so I wanted to share it with you as it’s a book I’ve heard a lot about. This is Regina Black’s debut romance and it follows Rachel who after finding out her husband is a cheater, decides to make some decisions for her.

I don’t want to get too in-depth with this one as I haven’t read it yet but I love the cover and the premise sounds amazing so I had to feature it on my list.

3. Flawless by Elsie Silver

The next book is one that was originally self-published by Elsie Silver and then got picked up by Bloom Books. Since it’s a re-release, I’m technically counting it for this list since Flawless was republished with a new cover and bonus content in 2023. This is a small-town cowboy romance between Summer who works in PR and Rhett, a famous bull rider who made a massive slip-up and now needs her help.

Essentially, Summer becomes his babysitter and from there, it ends up being their romance. This book is sexy, fun, and perfect for snuggling up this winter so this one is a must-buy!

4. With Love, from Cold World by Alicia Thompson

Next up for romance books to buy is With Love, from Cold World by Alicia Thompson. I read this book back in August and loved it. This is about Cold World, a winter-themed attraction in Florida that is not doing the best business. The owner decides to pair up Lauren who handles the financial side of things and Asa, who works in Cold World.

These two end up fostering a connection and it’s so delightful to watch. In addition, Asa is bisexual and has blue hair. Lauren and Asa have a lot going on but the relationship they have is just too delightful to ignore. I feel like this book is so underrated and deserves a lot more love than it got.

5. Wrapped With A Beau by Lillie Vale

Since it’s officially the start of the Christmas shopping season, I’d be remiss to not include a Christmas romance on this list. For me, one of the best I’ve read this year was Wrapped With A Beau. This is essentially a Hallmark Christmas movie but make it sexier.

The story follows Elisha who is her town’s film liaison and is excited about filming a sequel to a beloved Christmas movie set in her town. The tinsel gets tangled when the house they’re set to film in is inherited by a grumpy city boy named Ves. While things get off on the wrong foot, these two quickly realize they’re better as a package deal.

6. Next-Door Nemesis by Alexa Martin

The final book making my list is Next-Door Nemesis by Alexa Martin. This is a romance between two best friends turned enemies and they meet again after a disagreement over their community’s HOA. To try and get her point across, Collins runs against Nate, and from there, the chemistry is off the charts.

These two know how to hit each other where it hurts and honestly, it’s so satisfying to see them finally get together. Of course, since it’s Alexa Martin, she doesn’t miss and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
