Get hyped! A Ted Lasso x Barbie collection is here!

2023 has been the year of Barbie and the fun isn’t ending just yet. Of course, there was the movie and now, we’re getting another fun annoucement.

Usually, it’s not centered on a film or TV series yet this time, it is. Mattel has created something for the Barbie girls and the Ted Lasso fans. The brand shared that we’ll be getting a new collection featuring three Ted Lasso characters.

Given how much love the series has gotten and how popular Barbie is, this is not a shock but a slight surprise. It’s mostly due to the fact that I honestly never saw something like this happening but it’s clear the brand is keeping us on our toes.

Thankfully, you don’t have to wait to order these as you can grab them from the Mattel site now but let’s get into all the amazing details.

Let’s just break down which characters became Barbies. First up is obviously Rebecca Welton
who is being used as our main image. She’s dressed in a champagne-colored blouse, black slacks, and black stilettos. Her look is finished off with bracelets and a bag which is a very classic look if I say so myself.

Moving onto the next character, it’s Keeley Jones. She’s dressed in a pink midi dress with gold heels and a faux fur cape. Her look is easily the most wild of the bunch although she does have a high ponytail to complete the look. Either way, I just adore her look and it’s a great look for a Barbie girl. Last but not least, we have the titular character: Ted Lasso. Let me just copy what the brand shared about his look because it’s too good: “…His signature blue AFC Richmond Tracksuit accompanied by aviators on his head, a whistle around his neck and a soccer ball under his arm.”

As you can see, all of these characters were given such amazing looks and it feels like a testament to the series and its franchise that they’re now in Barbie form. Honestly, we’ll see Mattel decide to do this with some other beloved shows. Given how beloved the movie was, I’m sure this is just the start of something new.
