Killing It Season 2: Success might not be the true American Dream, clip
While the concept of the American Dream might be idolized, the reality is often far from the truth. Even though people might use laughter to mask the difficulties, the reality is that the humor can often uncover the real conversation. On Killing It Season 2, the characters might be on the path to success but they might have unwanted obstacles in their way.
At the end of Peacock’s Killing It Season 1, Craig (played by Craig Robinson) won the python contest and was ready to use the prize money to start his dream farm. For the second season, the familiar cast of characters are back and joined by some others with questionable motives. The whole process has Craig questioning whether success is truly worth all the effort.
Peacock provided this special behind the scenes clip from Killing It Season 2 that gives glimpse of all the shenanigans.
As seen in the clip, the characters and outrageous moments bring the laughter. Whether it is the potential of a dire fate from the jaws of a gator to unlike gangsters that seem to get their way, one step up seems to be met with more obstacles. Even though Craig does not turn back, he often questions why he took the first step to begin with.
Even though the story focuses on Craig and his business, the Florida backdrop lends itself to the absurdness. While many people understand the Florida man meme, those ideas are front and center. Python hunting is a real event. Gators can be both dangerous and harmless. Florida swamps might not be the best place to start a business.
While these portrayals are funny, there can be a connection to corporate America. Of course, the CEO of a company might not threaten a competitor with a wild animal, but there are cut throat deals made every day. It takes a tough skin to not let the business of the business world tear you down.
Killing It Season 2 starting Craig Robinson, Claudia O’Doherty, Rell Battle and others can be streamed on Peacock starting on August 17. There are eight 30 minute episodes in the new season. Season 1 is currently available for streaming.
